All teaching staff are committed Christians from a variety of denominations within the Christian church who subscribe to the School's Confession of Faith. Our teachers model Biblical values and lifestyle to students and families as living examples of disciples of Jesus Christ.
Each staff member holds appropriate qualifications from higher educational institutions within Australia and also comply with the requirements of the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA).
Teachers at NVCCS implement the NESA curricula from a Biblical worldview and are expected to undertake ongoing professional development.

Library Assistant
Library Assistant
Commencing Term 4, 2026
Nambucca Valley Christian Community School (NVCCS) is a thriving K–12 Christian school situated on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
We are seeking a suitably skilled Library Assistant to join our library team four days per week, with the option of an additional day working as a Teacher Aide.
The successful applicant will work in partnership with the Teacher Librarian and other teaching and non-teaching staff to actively support the Christian vision, ethos and policies of the School, while performing a range of tasks related to the day-to-day operation of the School libraries and supporting students and staff to access and use library resources.
This is an ongoing part-time position, working 26.5 hours over four days per week during school terms, commencing on 19 October 2026.
Role duties:
- Assist with the processing, accessioning, cataloguing and maintenance of library resources
- Maintain library records and resource information in accordance with established procedures
- Assist with stocktaking and the organisation and maintenance of library collections
- Operate the School’s library circulation and digital resource systems
- Assist students and staff to locate and access print and digital library resources
- Explain the use of library resources, systems and equipment to students as required
- Prepare and maintain engaging library displays and promotional materials
- Undertake general library administrative and clerical duties
- Assist the Teacher Librarian with the day-to-day operation of the library and other duties within the scope of the position
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to support and comply with the School’s Statement of Faith (available on the School website)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Competent computer, written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, reliable and self-motivated approach to work
- Ability to follow established procedures, prioritise tasks and resolve routine problems
- Commitment to work health and safety requirements
- A current Working with Children Check clearance
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in a school library or similar environment
- Familiarity with library systems, procedures and digital resources
- Experience working with children or young people
- Experience using digital or graphic design tools
