Children who are enrolled at NVCCS are primarily from Christian homes where Christian values are practised. However, the school welcomes families who desire Christian values as the basis of their child's education and who are not committed to a local church. All families must meet the criteria as outlined in the School's Enrolment Policy.

Nambucca Valley Christian Community School is a small multi-grade school (from Kindergarten to Yr 6) offering a balanced education in all Key Learning Areas — English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE), The Arts, Physical Education, Health and Sport (PD/H/PE), as well as a whole school devotional programme.

Specialist teachers, tutors and volunteers are provided in Music, Computer Skills, Resource Support, Library, Sport and Literacy.

Nambucca Valley Christian School was born out of a desire by Christians from different denominations to see a centre for Christian schooling established in the valley. NVCCS came into reality in 1991 as a ministry of the Presbyterian Church.
